There are people who do not simply lead a company, but leave a lasting mark on it. And there are people who impact not only the life of a company, but also the lives of those they work with every single day.

Zoli Gazsi was one of those people.

Zoli joined Eisberg Hungary in 2007 as Managing Director, and for nearly 20 years he helped shape the company and community we know today as Eisberg. Under his leadership, Eisberg became one of the defining players of the Hungarian FMCG market, while the Eisberg name grew far beyond the world of salads.

Because for Zoli, Eisberg was never just a company, a factory, a brand, or a business result.

It was a community of people.

Faces, stories, connections, conversations, shared lunches, laughter, debates, growth, mistakes, and new beginnings. A community that could be built together. A place worth arriving at every morning.

He always believed that trust is more valuable than control. That openness is not weakness, but strength. That real leadership comes not from position, but from humanity.

Many of us remember how he walked through the factory, stopping to talk, asking questions, listening. He did not see “employees” — he saw people.

Over the past years, Zoli spoke about his illness with the same honesty with which he had always spoken about success, mistakes, or the bigger questions of life. He never wanted to appear perfect. He wanted to remain human in every situation.

Maybe that is exactly why he was able to connect with so many people.

Even after stepping back from Eisberg, he never stopped. He continued building the community and mission of Önzetlenség Napja (the Day of Selflessness), supported social causes, and inspired many people.

He often said or wrote that life, in the end, is not about what we accumulate, but about what we pass on to others.

And he gave so much.

Knowledge. Attention. Encouragement. Humanity. Faith that it is possible to remain both successful and deeply human at the same time.

It is difficult to say goodbye now.

But what he created will stay with us.

It lives on in our culture. In our relationships. In the way we turn toward one another. In the courage to remain human even in the business world.

Thank you for everything, Zoli.

We say goodbye with love and respect.
