More than 5The Eisberg Group has been offering freshness and colourful quality to its customers, clients and partners since the 1970s. The result of the merger of two Swiss vegetable growing companies, the company has been producing ready-to-eat salads for more than 50 years and is now one of Europe’s leading groups in its market. In Central and Eastern Europe and Switzerland, its first colourful and fresh products are available in 12 countries.
The Hungarian subsidiary, Eisberg Hungary Kft., was established in 1992 and has since become the market leader in the domestic ready-to-eat salad market and a leading player in the sale of dressings. The company was the first to introduce salad dressings without preservatives and is continuously expanding its product range. Eisberg is also at the forefront of social responsibility, supporting a number of areas where people are at the centre.
The company currently employs more than 200 people in its 5,000 square metre factory in Gyal. They use professional sorting, washing, drying and packaging equipment to produce Eisberg’s extra fresh, healthy, ready-to-eat, crispy and varied products, all in compliance with strict food safety standards that are constantly being improved.0 years on the market of fresh, convenience salads.

Biggest milestones

1972 – Gastro Star is founded in Switzerland

1976 – Eisberg founded in Switzerland

1992 – The Eisberg Group opens its Eastern European market and establishes subsidiaries in Poland and Hungary: Eisberg Hungary Kft.

1995 – A production plant opens in Romania, further expanding and strengthening the Eastern European market.

2012 – Gastro Star becomes part of the international food company Hilcona.

2012 – In the same year, the new product line Eisberg – Simply Fresh is born.

2016 – Eisberg becomes part of the Bell Food Group.

2018 – Sylvain & CO. joins the Eisberg Group.

2019 – A new production plant opens in Austria.

2024 – The Eisberg brand is renewed with a new concept under the slogan “Colour your life
